The conversationists of Clerkenwell

I don't know what name is given to decorative masonry on buildings, so I'll call them sculptures. I spotted these two on a large building in Clerkenwell. They remind me of the door knockers in the film 'Labyrinth' and I half-expected them to start chatting to each other.
