Day tripper

Had another absolutely superb day at the Severn Valley Railway today. It was a 1960s day, but we (four of us) were amongst the few that dressed up. My beehive wig attracted a lot of attention; literally every person we encountered had something to say about it.

It was a classic spring day in Britain; grim, grey, rainy and cold, but the woohwooh of the steam trains and the occasional pint between idyllic country stations, not to mention conversations with train nerds, made it a great day out again.
