Mother's Day

Today was a day out with my wonderful hubby. We visited a wetland area filled with trees, swamps and a little bit of birdlife. I was hoping to get a blip of a Pukeko but didn't see one, however this shot stood out with the reflection, colours and light.
We also visited the Ashley Gorge which had an array of Autumn colours and again I took numerous photos. We were surprised at the lack of water in the Gorge and how dry the farmland areas are.
Mother's Day for us is normally a road trip. Daughters A and E arrange the food and away we go. This year Daughter A rang from Wellington and Daughter E had dance rehersals at school for the day. My mum returns home tomorrow and we'll be catching up then.
