Sink Drainer...

I decided to have ago at taking some photos of this sink drainer.

It hasnt came out as well as I would have liked it too. I wondered if it was because it was quite shiney. But I do like the softness it gives off.

Any suggestions on how to have another go at improving this shot would greatfully be received.
