Remembrance flowers in a 'roundabout' sort of way

I have tried several times to get a picture of this lovely bed of flowers by the cenotaph in front of our church. I particularly wanted to take them as a foreground for the small church but it just didn't work well.
Today I tried the other way round taking the picture from above from the church grounds.
I thought it was appropriate to include the cenotaph as we have just had the 65th anniversary of V E Day. Again I tried lots of crops but decided in the end just to put the whole picture in as the busy background is quite interesting itself.
The bridge across the road into Bingley, our nearest town, has been undergoing renovation since January, hence the road is closed further down.There are lots of signs warning people of the closure and also lots more signs telling people of places along the road that are still open!
Therfore another title for this picture could be--- 'Three for the price of one'!
