Growing corn.... West Cork style

Corn in limited quantities for livestock has been grown for some time here. But the last couple of seasons has seen the use of strips of plastic sheeting which impart a green house warming effect to jump-start the growing.

This shot was take at 5:30 this morning en-route to the airport. Unfortunately, I did not have the time or find the place to stop to capture the rising red sky of dawn reflected in the acres of plastic. It was surreal.
