Gardener's Delight

Today we've been out shopping. We returned home and set about gardening. It was time for more seed sowing and transplanting in the vegetable plot, whilst trying to prevent those vegetables already growing from being trampled and generally dug up by two enthusiastic children.

The wind was chilly this afternoon and once the children had finished covering themselves from head to foot in mud and dirt, they headed indoors where a roast free range chicken was carefully being prepared.

This gave me a chance to sit quietly and at least try to photograph the birds nesting in our box. I'm pretty sure they are Great Tits, but they're just too fast to capture in the low light under the tree. Here are the best I've managed together with a few other shots around the garden.
