Loch Earn
It's amazing how quickly your body adjusts to taking in alcohol. Despite almost a complete day on the sauce yesterday [back blipped] there was no hangover this morning.
Being the nominated driver for this trip (somebody else's turn next time surely guys?) meant lots of coffee and Irn Bru whilst watching the others down yet more alcohol (greedy b&$t@rds) back at the same hotel as yesterday.
We'd watched a few brave souls launch themselves into the cold tea below off of the bridge from where this shot was taken, as we sat supping in the 'beer garden' on the right of the picture. Despite appearances the water here is probably not much above freezing and judging from their screams as they hit I'm not sure they realised just how cold it was themselves.
So it was a more subdued drive back late this afternoon with a car full of contented neeburs suitably rested for getting back to the grind tomorrow.
Finally, for Davey and Tam, to settle the pub argument about what Scottish loch is longest/deepest/biggest, according to the book Scotsmania Loch Lomond is the largest loch (by area) at 27.5 miles with Loch Ness second at 21.8 miles. Loch Ness is the largest by volume of water and is the second deepest (Loch Morar is deeper). Happy now? Can't remember which one of you had that right, so you can fight it out next time.
A great weekend once again, looking forward to the next one. Cheers guys!
