Saughton Park, Edinburgh

Great day out at the official opening of this new skatepark.

tfp captures the skateboarding action best.

I got close (maybe too close) to the bike action..

Really busy and though this was great it was tricky looking after 2 kids at same time - with a skateboard, 2 helmets, elbow,knee and wrist pads and a pink scooter to deal with.

The demo was fantastic with all manner of 2 wheeled action, one wheeled action and several skateboarders showing how its done and how the park gives the boarders a brilliant experience - when the park is cleared of traffic!

Edinburgh is very lucky to have this park. Congratulations to everyone who campaigned to make it heppen.
