A wonderful lunch and a great hug

Today is Mother's Day in the U.S. My sweet sister, who is the mother of the sweet boy in the photo, invited us over for lunch. Poor her! She worked on Mother's Day! How is that right? But she did and boy did she do a great job. Excellent food, some great wine and wonderful company.

My darlin' nephew is giving Roddy a good hug. I must admit, I did laugh when he gave him the hug. He likes Roddy but he is not crazy about doggie kisses so he is always on alert -- knowing that Roddy might try to slip him a kiss.

It was an excellent day. I can only hope this fun start to this week means the rest of the week will be wonderful or at least good. It has to start getting better, right? As they say "it all works out in the end, if it isn't worked out, it isn't the end"

Oh before going to her house, I decided to brush Roddy, it had been awhile...
