The upside of gardening

We got back from holiday on Tuesday to the news that the governor's mum is poorly, so I'm back fending for myself.
I truly do not like gardening alone - it is pretty tedious weeding and digging and stuff. But then a red berry gleaming in the fruit cage caught my eye and for a quarter of an hour I enjoyed the fruits of our labours - and I enjoyed them even more with some yoghurt about an hour ago!
Looks like the weekend on my own as well - may have to do some bricklaying to cheer myself up!
