Two of my favourite themes

Blossom and bumblebees - there were dozens of bumblebees out in the morning sunshine. This is a female Bombus lapidarius with her distinctive red bottom and black body. I saw my first male Bombus lapidarius today - and a Bombus pratorum for the first time too.

I've now seen all of the Big 6 British Bumblebees which believe me is very exciting!! (sorry I'm definitely becoming a bit nerdy about this). You can see them all here Help Save Bees website
