Always Expected the Unexpected...

...is a phrase I hear quite often at work in connection with the concept of 'risk mitigation' planning. Plainly a completely non-sensical statement as if you can expect something then it can't be unexpected....

However, the phrase does seem to make sense in the context of our garden. After our traditional annual post-flowering season session of 'slash and burn prune' gardening I never expect things to flower again but something always does. So I should learn to 'expect the unexpected'!!
