So much better to wake up in the warmth. My friend told me last night when I saw her at C&J's potluck that she's on equal billing and to go ahead, baby, blast the heat.

Great lunch with my supervisor. Just social, we'll meet about my chapter draft tomorrow. Then it was a public lecture by Dr. Terry Eagleton. They had to change the venue last minute to accommodate the crowds and we all traipsed downstairs to a bigger lecture hall. He was droll and dry, as expected. Talk was so-so, tho I know it's an honour to attend.

And this evening a chilly walk on the canal. Got as far as the Atwater Market before wussing out from the cold, even wearing my friend's Bench® jacket. I love that jacket.
