Colnago arrived!
Last week I bought me approx. 25 years old Colnago road bike as it seemed to be in good overall condition and sizing was spot on, 61cm. The model is most likely Master or Super.
Today after working day spent few mins checking the frame and fork condition, making brief technical inspection of the Campagnolo G.S. set and also made short test drive after setting the saddle to proper hight. Wow.
The condition of the frame and fork is quite nice as it needs only few minor drops of paint to some hits from stones etc. Technically the Campa G.S. set seems to work really well. Only complaints are the newer Shimano Dura-Ace break handles and headset. I have already suitable Campa break handles, so that is minor issue really. The tubes seems to be in quite bad shape so now thinking whether to put new Open Pro rims to the original and smooth Campa G.S. hubs? During this project could clean the bike properly, install new handlebars that are little wider plus the cork and suitable Brooks saddle.
Perfect ride for my road biking when it's sunny and birds are singing etc. Me so happy!
