Long Walk

A glorious day on the Fylde coast today albeit slightly chilly. An extended walk back from work today - by 5 miles.

The tide was out even further than normal today. This shot was taken 3 miles out and a view back to St Annes pier -and on the left is Blackpool

The sea was another 3 miles away from the point where I took this shot. I hope this gives you some perspective as to just how vast the tides are in this part of the world. The waves would reach the pier at High Tide

Fear not my life wasn't in peril as I checked the tide tables before venturing out.
