Maple Flats

The woods nearby have such rich colours as evening approaches. The sun shines sideways through the trees and creates striking effects. The maple leaves have not yet reached their full size and are almost lime green, in the darker colours of the coniferous forest. I almost get lost in the loveliness of it all.

This forest is where I take my cardiovascular exercise, walking fast or trotting up and down the trails. I have slowed down significantly since I've been taking my camera, but my enjoyment has increased immensely.
