confucius, wisteria and haggis crisps
This morning we went to the Confucius temple, a not-often-visited temple in Beijing, but lovely (and all the better for the lack of people). It's especially beautiful at this time of year with the knotted, tangled wisteria trees in magnificent bloom. So hard to take a picture to do them justice.
And another discovery of the day- a great Western restaurant in the hutongs, The Vineyard, has started importing Scottish crisps from Perthshire. The Haggis and Black Pepper ones have just been polished off... yum.
