Don't blame me

I voted Labour.

Stayed up all night watching the results come in. Wales held on well to our Labour seats but guttingly lost Nick Ainger (Carmarthen West) to a fox hunting Tory and Julie Morgan (Cardiff North) to an ex-MEP Tory.

Truly, Julie Morgan is the exactly the kind of MP that people say they want to have in Parliament, she is so hard working, has integrity and grace, cares so much about her constituency and sticks to her values when she votes.

So to everyone in Cardiff North who voted for 'David Cameron' because they don't like Gordon Brown, and didn't bother to check their Constituency MP's record... you've got what you deserve. For the rest (for all of them, whether they know it or not) it is a terrible loss, to the constituency, to women and to everyone who cares about equality in the UK. She has been far more graceful than I can be about this.
