Bowls

The image is a small section of what I think was probably a serious competition game of lawn bowls.

There were about 24 people in all, 12 on each side of the lawn.

To me it seems like the quintessential English game, although I believe it originates from the game of Boule.

I like the look of the game, not too physical, tactical, requiring focus and accuracy. One day I will play.
