One kite...

...does not a battle make.

Headed to Jeffrey street today, hoping to capture the Japanese Giant Kite Dogfight on Calton Hill in celebration of Japan's Hamamatsu Festival. But I was late getting there and by the time I arrived, there was a lone, victorious kite in the sky and it was a bit small to be captured from so far away. Guess I missed all the action.

I fired off a few shots from Jeffrey street anyway and liked this the best.
I quite like the way Edinburgh looks "Westminster-ish" from here and the clouds looked nice again, though I do think I'm becoming a bit cloud obsessed at present.

Never mind - got plenty of non cloud related inspiration for another day, so not all is lost.
