Almost ready to start

Unit EC 7: Here's the steamturbine, carefully isolated.

We are about to do a runup to 3000 rpm when the balancing weights are put into place at the end bearing of the gasturbine. (about 0,5 kilogrammes).
When the runup is successfull, we go on the grid and try to produce some power.
Yesterday evening the unit went up to 40 MegaWatts and then tripped due to high vibrations, so balancing was necessary.

We had a lot of work already this morning when unit EC 6 tripped due to problems at switching over to another (LOW NOX) burnermode.
The automatic shutdown acted when the flamedetectors saw no flames at some burners anymore....
