You can hide but you can't run

This fly was sitting over a fresh little pile of cat sh1t - obviously enjoying the heady scent.
Bloody cats.
I've found a possible solution: bury half a cup of Jeyes fluid with a loose lid. The smell is supposed to discourage cats. I can't smell it which is good because I don't want our garden stinking like a public lavatory in an alternative sort of way. Hope it works.

I do love to hunt out flies with a camera though. They are so photogenic in an ugly/beautiful way.
