Precision
The neighbor across the alley was getting a short bit of concrete walkway poured so this monstrosity showed up early this morning, announcing its arrival with a mighty shudder of the earth (we thought it was thunder) and some very stinky diesel fumes. Its driver was a master of precision maneuvering, squeaking down the narrow alley with mere inches to spare.
Whoever thought of the truck painting scheme carefully considered that the business name would be readable to motorists whether the truck was traveling in the same direction or passing by, going in the other direction. The whole operation took only an hour. Now that's precision. I did keep a somewhat close eye on them and took this picture as proof in case they wrecked my fence or plants, not realizing I would get busy and basically take one picture all day.
Speaking of precision, I tried the new content aware tools of CS5 and am in love. Had every intention of watching the whole NAPP live web seminar but the perfect, sunny, gorgeous day called and I answered. The nursery trip didn't pan out and it's a good thing. Turns out I can divide and move a bunch of perennials to the new sidewalk planting bed, not needing as many new plants as I thought.
Unrelated: move over Rush Limbaugh, there's a new moron in town and he's a doozy! (Not Stephen Colbert, he's a genius) How long did you think you would reign anyway, Rush? Precisely. Celebrity morons come and go much faster than normal celebri...actually, they both come and go pretty quickly.
