MYSTERY WILD FLOWER
A walk in Bowland looking for Eagle Owls produced no Owls and some not very good photographs. I fail miserably at wide open spaces though they look good through the viewfinder.
But what I have is a wild flower I have not come across before and which I cannot identify after looking through my book. It was perhaps and inch and a half high, and near water. The ground was dry but I would think it could also be boggy. It appears to have little green fruit buds and a strange hairy stem.
If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful. Otherwise it's a long tramp back to look at it again - properly!
