Day three
Today we went on a safari trip to see the local Dominican culture.
First we went and saw the sugar cane fields with their local village where the workers (Haitian) live and get schooling. We visited the local school and gave pens and candy to the children there.
After that we went to a cigar factory where it started to RAIN again.
Now off the the marked where this picture was taken, there was no hygiene standards. All the meet was exposed to the heat and flies. You could also pick out a chicken and have it killed and prepared in front of you.
Than we went to a local farm (cacao, coffee, banana, pineapple ect) here we saw a local farm house and how chocolate is made from cacao.
Finally at 2o'clock we got to our lunch place but first we went for a horse back ride (preprogrammed horses they knew where they had to turn but not how to stay away from the barbed wire).
After lunch we went down to a river where they apparently filmed Anaconda 2 and some Jurassic park movies.
Overall it was a interesting day and a bumpy road.
