Sesquicentblipial
I does not merit a balloon or camera change, but I couldn't let my 150th blip go by without using it as an excuse to use my new manufactured word of sesquicentblipial. I lived in Texas for a few years (K was born there) and during that time, Texas was celebrating their 150th year of statehood. The automobile license plates had a banner proclaiming Sesquicentennial 1845-1945. I was an educated man, but I had never heard of that word before. It turns out the prefix sesqui- means one and a half. Hence, sesquicentblipial is my 150th blip. By the way, for you trivia buffs, Texas was a sovereign republic from 1836 - 1845 after seceding from Mexico and before being voluntarily annexed by the U.S.
This shot is of a defunct commercial garage operation I pass on the way home from work (depending on the route I choose). It would fit in fine in Texas as well. I've always described Alaska as Texas with snow. Lots of space, mixed beauty and ugliness, pick-up trucks, and bubbas.
I might as well take credit for an "ugly" entry for the week's assignment.
Edit: I guess I lost track of the blip counter. This is 151. I'm not anal enough to change all of my text around. Machs Nichts.
