New Life

A welcome distraction after work today.

This proud Dad was keeping watch over Mum & babies while the traffic whizzed by on the busy A1101. Don't think I've been lucky enough to see the cygnets this young before, certainly have never managed to photograph any. These aren't in the best position, on washland at Welney, & I had to balance on the verge, hoping the cornering traffic would spot me & not splat me, but, without waders & secateurs this is the best view I can get for now!
