Well, actually just the digger but its reflection does looks rather scary?

The trench down to the duck pond is for the drain taking the rain water from the roof.

Eventually we will harvest the water stored in the pond by pumping it back up and filtering it to flush the loos.

A duct to take the pipe in the future is already in the trench.

By utilising the pond we are negating the need to dig a massive hole and buy a vast plastic rainwater harvesting tank.
