Waiting for a bite
It was a welcomed, warm, late autumnal day, before the break of winter, where the temperature 'rose' to a pleasant 19C with nary a zephyr to disturb the near cloudless sky. As a result, many folks were out and about including some erstwhile Fishermen on the Pier at Altona Beach.
Altona is western Bayside suburb of Melbourne (Victoria), Australia located approximately 18 kms from the Melbourne CBD.
I'd come down to the Pier to watch the sunset - one of my favourite places for sunsets - which at this time of the year (being a month shy of the winter solstice) occur around 5:20pm local time. Wandering along the Pier, I noticed this particular Fisherman staring intently at his Line waiting for any hint of a bite in order to reel in his catch, usually a Flathead or Snapper. During the 13 second exposure another person passed in front of the lens.
