Unit EC 3 is partly dismantled for a combustion inspection.
So the low pressure steamturbine is inspected too according to its running hours.
Here a part of the last row of blades.
Note the way they are fixed at the wheel; the fitting looks like a chrismas tree and it's also called that way.
Here the steam flows out to the condenser which stands under the LP turbine.
In the condenser the steam becomes water again and will be pumped to the feedwatertank and from there to the boiler.
In this way the cycle is closed....
Notice the erosion spots at the blades because in the last stage of the turbine a bit of water occurs when the vacuum is very good in the condenser.
(A good vacuum is good for the thermal efficiency of the installation).

Here is the rest of the LP turbine with inner casing.
The outer casing was hoisted away a few Blips ago.
