Awwww-some

Newbury's canal is teaming with ducks, swans and the occasional goose all year round so I'd been somewhat disappointed this year not to have got any shots of the various assorted ducklings, cygnets and goslings that one would normally expect from such a menagerie.

Today, however, I decided to head up the canal to calmer waters in the hope of catching something there, and struck lucky. Walking under one bridge near a weir, I saw a huge family of ducklings, and had a very happy lunch break snapping shots of them.

Not exactly the most original photograph, I know, but hey - they're ducklings :)
