All is calm

Most of the day was spent reading and swimming, two very underrated activities when it comes to attempting to achieve a bit of calm in one's life.

There was also some entertainment on display courtesy of a group of men of who played with each other in the pool in the same way a group of 12 year old boys would: shrieking, laughing, fighting, splashing and going in big huffs if it got a bit out of hand.

And all this while the ladies watched from the side. It does fascinate me how a religion can effectively stop a woman from swimming with her husband, whilst he gets to cavort around with other blokes to compensate. Some women did manage to go for a dip, but being fully-clothed makes it a bit difficult to enjoy the experience I should imagine.

Amazing, really.
