We have a game with the chickens, we feed them, house them, in a LOVELY coop, with LOVELY nestboxes and we shut them away safely at night

In return they escape over the pen fence, maraud around the garden laying their eggs, willy nilly, where they please.

It's the psychological warfare version of hide and seek

We found sixteen eggs behind the shed last friday, so I think we are just holding our own in this particular battle.
