Crown Posada
Went for a long walk around the city today and decided to quench my thirst at a lovely little pub called The Crown Posada. It's reputed to be the second oldest pub in the city and is an absolute gem, it's like stepping back a hundred years when you enter inside and has a lovely cosy feel which is immediately welcoming.
Legend has it that the bar was once owned by a Spanish sea captain, hence the name (posada is spanish for an inn or hostelry), and being a seafarer myself it appeals to my romantic spirit (even if it's not true!).
The real jewels of the bar are the gorgeous stained glass windows, seeing them is enough reason to visit even if you don't stop for a drink!
