Wayside

This is the first of a dozen River Rubbings set into walls and stones every mile between Balerno & the Port of Leith along the Water of Leith Walkway.

They were commissioned as part of the Millenium Project that made it possible to walk or cycle along the riverside all the way from Balerno to the sea. As you can see from the date, this is now nearly ten years ago.
