Himalayan

Six weeks ago I took this, concerned that it wouldn't survive our ridiculous late wintery weather.

I glanced at the garden this morning and realised it had accepted my tlc and is now blooming beautifully with lovely papery-blue petals. Shame about its hairy stem - a bit of, well, grooming would've been nice.

Meanwhile, my moans about the cold in March have turned to horror at the sudden warmth. I spent the day in a fine film of sweaty tetchiness due to the sash and cases refusing to open.

There was nothing for it but to run away from work early. Hurrah.
