Autumnal creep
It's still a few weeks off proper and if I'm honest I'm really hoping for an Indian Summer but ever since a few days ago I can't fail to notice that Autumn is definately hinting it's way into the day now, which is fab seeing as it's my favourite season bar none. I think it's a colour thing: all the burnished reds and browns married with the perfect goldeny-blue skies, the earlier sunsets and the avian 'changing of guards' as one lot fly off and a differently coloured rabble take over.
And spikey conkers and acorns and squirrels, and fruit in the hedgerows like these blackberries which I spotted brambling along the flanks of a country lane down the road, almost perfect for picking.
