Memories

This ship belongs to the company where I started my career at see, now 34 years ago. I remember my first day at sea as if it was yesterday. Since I was five years old, I knew I would be a captain at sea but my dreams were quite different from what I experienced when I became the youngest deck boy on board the 'Keizersgracht' of Spliethoff. I never regretted that step however and would do exactly the same today. Sometimes, I even hope that I could do it all over again.
