A son in the sun.

Two weekends running - my son is home. He's been on another course in Portsmouth and is home for a second wedding this month before returning to Germany.

He is looking at my road map of the US as I am planning our trip there next year.
Over his right shoulder are the few remaining magnolia flowers and to his left the azalea is just coming into flower. this wasn't my favourite when it was planted but it has outlasted and outgrown any of the others. The pinky purple takes on an almost 'electric' hue at dusk and looks stunning.

Look at the weather - sun and heat! Amazing. Sitting out using garden furniture!
