Picture Consequences

By consequences

Don't know much about art

You continue down the street, your feet seeming to know where you're going.

Passing by the window display of the local gallery, you look in - and almost recoil in distaste.

How could you not have realised how awful this place was before? Why didn't it strike you just how pretentious, how shallow and ridiculous the goods in the window?

It now seems ridiculous to you that people - people including you - would choose to shop here.

You realise this is just the kind of place that your town doesn't need.

And, while you still can't remember what you're looking for, you know it isn't this. There and then, you decide you're never going to buy another card or gift in there again.

Part Two begins here.
