Me and my everyday world

By SilvaT

Baby boom!

This morning I opened the door of our shed, and almost ran my hair into some threads carrying dozens of itsy bitsy spiders. Just came out of their nest, or whatever you call those fluffy white egg balls that spiders make. All scrambling to get to the top of the threads, outside. Tumbling down, dragging other little spiders along in their fall, and then climbing back up again. Lightly swaying in the wind, so it looked to me, but to them it must have felt like quite a thrill.
I watched them for about 5 minutes before rushing to work. So tiny, such sweet little legs. In a couple of months they'll be all over my garden, and I'll be too afraid to go near them.
