Sylviecat brought in this cicada after a long outdoors excursion. I always wonder if she expects me to cook up her presents, like perhaps she smells what I usually eat and feels sorry for me. Apparently many folks around the world eat cicadas, but I let this one back outside, a remnant of Summer in the slowly encroaching autumn.
