The ones that got away

I spent ages stalking bumblebees round and round this shaggy Pittosporum on the edge of a local marina this evening, trying to capture the ultimate shot of a bumblebee on the minute, deep purple and heavily scented flowers.

But each time I got one into focus... Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, off it went. I now know how Sir David Attenbourgh must feel.

On the plus side. I had never realised how beautiful a Pittisporum's flowers were until tonight.
