Swildon's Four Streamway

There are two ways of accessing this part of the Swildon's hole system. The most direct route is by diving through three sumps, two of which are at the very limit of what you'd want to attempt without breathing apparatus. The other way is through a particularly torturous route called Blue Pencil passage which is accessed through high level fossil passages (Passages which have long been abandoned by the streams which formed them). I took the Blue Pencil passage route, which emerges high above the Swildons four stream. The cave then climbs down, assisted by a length of chain which is bolted in place.
The stream here is very different in character to the rest of the cave, with sections of false floor dotted around and sharp flakes of rock.
This was actually only a detour from a longer round trip of the system, but a very worthwhile one!
