If I could offer you only one tip for the future,
I have covered my baby boy in sun cream.
When I was wee, in the olden days, for it was then I grew up. My summers were spent either in wooly hand knitted cardie, or under a clean white sheet, laying on my mum's bed, covered in calamine lotion.
My skin always had a horrendous reaction to sunlight. Bare skin + sunshine = lumps. Lumps on my arms, lumps on my neck, lumps on my legs. basically lumps everywhere. Yeuk.
To be honest, faced with a day under a cool white sheet covered in calamine lotion, was actually worth the joy of being free and almost naked under the sun. I hated woolie cardies!
I could tell you the story of the Bay City Roller trousers in helensburgh, but to be honest, I was 10. At 10, we make poor judgement calls - parents should be held responsible for what their kids wear at 10!
