MUM!!!

This is a Starling chick, calling for its Mum. Well, it's probably calling for anyone's Mum. There were about 20-30 Starlings in my garden this evening, raiding it of every bug they could find. With the adult birds were about a dozen chicks. They don't seem to bother about which chick belongs to which adult and seemed to all be feeding whichever one was closest. And the chicks were very aggressive, chasing the adults and biting their legs when they refused to feed them.
