Another lucky shot. We like these guys around here. There's a chemical in their bodies that wipes out the Lyme's disease microorganism if ticks go after them. This is one reason why Lyme's disease is less common in California than in the East. You do have to watch out for it, of course.
This is a great park. I love to tell kids there is an extinct volcano in Oakland!
They are astounded, but it's true. I'll blip some volcanic formations another time.
