All the world's a stage.
What is it about ballet school mothers?
Today I spent the day at an Eisteddfod with
my friend and her daughter. But rather than being
transfixed by the dancing, I was absolutely mesmerized
by their mothers. In stark contrast to their meticulously,
heavily made up daughters they looked so dull and non
descript, rushing around applying makeup, 'watering' shoes
and consoling the grief striken. I would have loved to take a
photograph of their anxious eyes and grimaces, but of course
photo restrictions forbade me. Leaving the stage mother
where you always find her, backstage!
