English seaside summers day

Scarborough was absolutely heaving today, with fish and chips, and ice cream was being eaten in vast quantities by day trippers from the cities coming to the seaside. "Doncaster seems miles away" I heard one saying as I passed by. Geographically and philosophically, he was right.
And being a British summer, I see that by next weekend, this heatwave will just be a memory...
